Boho is Back!
For those of us that ‘grew up’ in the early 2000’s barely a day went by without Kate Moss and Sienna Miller sashaying around in a pair of dusty worn boots, cut off denim hot pants, tassled tops, scarves and bags accentuated with long beachy waves and braids…..this was the millenniums rebirth of boho style. It’s origins derived from the travellers and artists of the 19th century but it was most notably captured in the 20th century by the 60’s/70’s free love movement and the festival going, free thinking crowd. The 2000’s gang echoed the relaxed hippie spirit and wore their boho well until a new generation of ‘influencers’ came along that would fast forward their nostalgic style to the ultra glamorous 80’s! But as always with fashion, every so many years trends find their way back into the mainstream with boho being back with a bang for AW21 and with its original 2000’s muses paving the way for it’s renaissance.
The perfect look for Autumn, boho consists of free flowing fabrics layered with rustic leathers, suede and knits and emblazoned with floral and patterned motifs. Combine with dark 70’s style denims and you’re ready for a modern day Woodstock! As highlighted by Kate and Sienna going back to their boho roots this effortless look crosses age groups and body shapes and is a classic style that can be embraced by all. We’ve picked our favourite pieces available online and in store so that you can get the look.
