3. Billy Porter

Event - The Oscars

Designer - Christian Siriano

Fashion Icon Billy never fails to disappoint. He’s fabulous! Championing fact that men are finally able to express themselves on the red carpet, Billy spearheads a new era where women can get inspiration as much from the men as they can from the women.

4. Marsai Martin

Event - Lion King Premiere

Designer- Oscar de La Renta

This young lady is definitely one to watch in the fashion stakes. At just 15 years old an effortless Marsai kills it on the red carpet! Teaming a simple stylish silhouette with a funky texture and eye popping colour, Marsai’s pitches it perfectly. Deftly avoiding the trap most young stars fall into, either dressing too old for their age or far too sexy.

5. Emily Blunt

Event - Golden Globes

Designer- Alexander McQueen

You can rarely go wrong with a McQueen but this dress is particularly beautiful. The nude lining allows the intricacy of the silver lace to dazzle. I can’t think of another dress that could be described as warrior meets Victoriana meets the Great Gatsby with a sense of bohemia thrown in for good measure. A triumph in design!

6. Catherine Zeta Jones

Event - The Emmys

Designer-Georges Hobeika

CZJ puts the younger starlets to shame with this breath taking cerise chiffon creation. Well balanced flashes of flesh give this gown effortless sexiness whilst maintaining a sense of mature elegance. The layered chiffon softens the look so the overall appearance is one of inherent style and elegance.

7. Lizzo

Event - MTV Music Awards

Designer- Moschino

On the other end of the scale is this in your face Moschino (who else?!) gown worn by the fabulous Lizzo. This outfit screams ‘ I am what I am, deal with it’ In 2019 the body confidence message has been strong and no red carpet outfit sums it up better than this one. Lizzo proves that you don’t need to be a size 6 to tear up the red carpet!

8. Elle Fanning

Event - Cannes Film Festival

Designer - Valentino Haute Couture

This gown may not be to everyone’s taste, it is pretty out there with its floral pattern, ballooning skirt and over sized sleeves but I think it’s amazing! Elle Fanning is one of the few people who could actually pull this off. The deep plunging neckline and tight nipped in waist adds enough Couture edge to save this gown from being too sugar sweet; coupled with the simplest of accessories and make up - this look is a winner.

9. Jennifer Lopez

Event - CDFA

Designer- Ralph Lauren

Very Ralph Lauren, very J-Lo, very stunning! Jennifer Lopez has been a fashion icon for years and this has got to be one of her most polished looks. Opulent, sexy, demure.... it doesn’t get much better than this.

10. Taylor Swift

Event - Billboard Music Awards

Designer- Raisa and Vanessa

Taylor Swift isn’t always at the top of my best dressed list but, in this outfit, I think she has hit the perfect note. Cute, young, fun and not too revealing. The pastel colour and frills could mean this dress is a disaster but Taylor’s youth and dearth of accessories mean that it’s pitched perfectly both for the wearer and also for the setting.

11. Octavia Spencer

Event- The Oscars

Designer- Christian Siriano

Octavia looks absolutely stunning in the sparkling midnight blue number. The Bardot neckline , nipped in waist and billowing skirt show her beautiful figure off to the very best. Stylish, refreshing and timeless.
