Anyone else feel like this year is literally flying by? How is it only 9 weeks until Christmas?! Halloween is just around the corner and this week I’ll be heading to the nearest ‘pick your own’ to nab myself a prize pumpkin - and a few obligatory autumnal snaps posing with said pumpkin (yes I’m one of those). 

Party season is nearly upon us. There’s no mention of lockdowns just yet (touches every bit of wood in reach) and it feels like there’s a bit of magic in the air. If you’re heading to a Halloween party but don’t fancy donning the full skeleton suit or dressing up as Carole Baskin, then Rixo’s star dress is a great shout. 

Talking of autumn dresses, Nobody’s Child have some gorgeous new floral styles that would work beautifully with chunky boots and a winter coat. I’ll be wearing my patchwork floral dress with my new bargain Bottega boot dupes from H&M.

If you’re already fed up of wearing jeans this winter, there are some great leather trousers and skirts on the the high street right now. I have my eye on the Cos Barrel-Leg leather trousers and I’ll be pairing them with a gorgeous knit from Wyse (I’m obsessed with their star print cardi). For a smarter, evening look, add a pair of heels and a silk top.

I’m also eyeing up the brown leather midi skirt over at Warehouse. I’d wear it with knee-high boots, a roll neck and lots of chunky gold jewellery.

In case you hadn’t guessed, I’m a sucker for a commercial holiday and I love to bring a bit of autumnal decor into my home around this time of year. The Heavensend Velvet Pumpkins would look very cute on any coffee table with a few dried leaves. I’ll also be burning the Anthropologie Fall Feelings candle for the ultimate autumn cosy vibes (told you I was the full cliche).

And if Halloween isn’t your thing, then why not curl up on the sofa and hide from the trick-or-treaters with a super-relaxing space mask and a big mug of hot chocolate (or gin).
